Dona Florinda is a fictional character from the popular Mexican television show "El Chavo del Ocho". She is the mother of Doña Clotilde ("La Bruja del 71") and the love interest of Professor Jirafales. Dona Florinda is known for her elegant and sophisticated demeanor as well as her strict and sometimes overbearing personality. She often engages in arguments with El Chavo and the other children on the show, but ultimately cares about their well-being. Her signature phrase is "¡Pero qué cosas tienes Chavo!" (But what things you have, Chavo!) which she exclaims whenever El Chavo does something clumsy or unexpected. Actress Florinda Meza portrayed the character in the show.
